Terms of service

These terms explain how SEO Expert NZ (“we”, “us”) works with clients. They sit alongside the written quote or proposal for your project; where the two differ, the quote applies.

Who we are

We're a remote practice run from Belgium that works with New Zealand businesses. You can reach us at [email protected].

Prices

All prices are in New Zealand dollars. We're an overseas supplier, so no New Zealand GST is added. Our current prices are published on the pricing page and the web design page, and every quote is fixed in writing before work starts.

Monthly SEO plans

  • Plans run month-to-month from day one. You can cancel with 30 days' notice and you keep everything we've built.
  • Each month's tasks are listed in advance on a shared project board. If a listed task isn't delivered by the end of the month, you don't pay for that month.
  • We don't guarantee rankings or traffic. Google decides what it shows, and no honest provider can promise positions.

Websites built with an SEO plan

  • Any SEO plan unlocks the lower one-off website prices (for example $199 for a Starter website instead of $599), provided the plan is kept for at least 6 months.
  • If you cancel the plan earlier, you pay the difference between the price you paid and the website-only price, and you keep the website.
  • Founding client offer: open to our first 5 clients, on the terms set out on the pricing page.

Website Care (hosting and updates)

Website Care covers hosting, backups, updates, security monitoring and small edits. It's included for every site we look after while you have an SEO plan with us. Without a plan it's $59 a month, month-to-month with 30 days' notice. Existing WordPress websites can join after a free check. You can move the website to another host at any time and we'll hand everything over.

Ownership

You own your domain, content, design and Google accounts, and they're registered in your name. Third-party costs such as payment-provider fees or paid plugins are paid by you directly to those providers.

What we need from you

Access to the accounts we need to do the work (such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile and your website), accurate information about your business, and timely approvals. Extra work outside an agreed scope is quoted first and charged at $50 an hour only if you approve it.

Your information

We handle personal information as described in our privacy policy and keep client data and account access confidential.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date above. Changes never apply to work already quoted.
