SEO audit for New Zealand websites
A written, prioritised review of what is stopping your website from ranking in New Zealand, and exactly what to do about it. Delivered in seven working days, explained on a call, and yours to act on with any agency or developer.
What's in an SEO audit
An audit is only useful if it tells you what to fix first. Ours covers five areas and ends with a single prioritised list, scored by impact and effort.
- Technical crawl: indexing, crawl budget, redirects, duplicate content, Core Web Vitals, mobile rendering, structured data errors.
- Keyword and intent map: the terms your NZ customers use (including suburb and "near me" variants), what they expect to find, and which pages should target each one.
- Content review: thin, missing or cannibalising pages; title tags and headings; whether each page actually answers the query.
- Local presence: Google Business Profile completeness, categories, reviews, citations and NAP consistency across NZ directories.
- Authority and competitors: who outranks you, why, and what gap in links or content explains it.
- AI search visibility: whether your pages are being cited in AI Overviews and AI Mode for your key terms, and what's blocking it.
What you receive
- A written report (typically 12–20 pages) in plain English, with screenshots
- A prioritised action list in a spreadsheet, scored by impact and effort
- A keyword map showing which page should target which terms
- A 30-minute walkthrough call, recorded so your team can rewatch it
- One week of email follow-up for questions while you action it
Price: $99 NZD, one-off. Most NZ agencies charge $1,200 or more for a comparable audit. Credited against your first month if you move to a monthly plan within 60 days.
Turnaround: seven working days from receiving Search Console and GA4 access.
Who the audit is for
Before a redesign
Redesigns are the most common way NZ businesses lose rankings. An audit beforehand captures what's working so the new site keeps it, and gives your developer a checklist for the migration.
After a traffic drop
Whether it was a core update, a migration gone wrong or a competitor pulling ahead, the audit identifies the cause with data rather than guesses.
Before hiring an agency
The audit gives you an independent view of what needs doing, so you can judge any proposal (ours included) against a clear list of priorities.

Questions about SEO audits
What's the difference between the free audit and the paid one?
The free audit is a focused snapshot: one target search, a technical crawl and the three changes we'd make first. The paid audit covers everything: a full keyword map, content review, local presence, competitor gap analysis and a prioritised 90-day plan, with a 30-minute walkthrough.
What access do you need?
Read access to Google Search Console and GA4, and viewer access to your Google Business Profile if you have one. We'll send step-by-step instructions. We never need your website admin login for an audit.
Can I use the audit with another agency?
Yes. The report and action list are written so any competent agency or developer can act on them. Several clients use it as the brief when choosing a provider.
How long does it take?
Seven working days from receiving access. Larger ecommerce sites may take a few days more, which we'll confirm before starting.
